OUR PROCESS
Our process consists of five
steps. These are the same steps regardless of the nature of the engagement.
They are:
1. Initial Meeting
We have an initial meeting with you where we ask questions and listen
to you speak. This meeting serves two purposes. It lets us get acquainted
to see if we are compatible and it gives us an opportunity to access your
situation, in general, to see if we can help you. If appropriate, at this
meeting we discuss our fees and set a date for our next meeting. This
meeting typically lasts one hour.
2. Data Gathering &
Determining Objectives
Our second meeting will be spent reviewing your relevant documents - tax
returns, insurance policies, investment statements, etc. checklist of
documents - determining your goals and your timetable for achieving them.
We will get to know you better and to the extent necessary, your other
family members. At this meeting we probe into your hopes and dreams. Essentially
we determine, what do you have, what do you hope to have and what do you
want to do with it. At this meeting we determine any constraints or limiting
factors. Emphasis throughout the planning process and especially at this
meeting is given to your concerns. This meeting will typically last one
to two hours.
3. Analysis Data & Plan
Preparation
We do our analysis work. We view various techniques for achieving your
goals and objectives. This, of course, is done within the confines of
your available resources and taking into consideration your concerns and
constraints. From this analysis we will arrive at specific recommendations
for you. During this process we may contact you for clarification or for
more specific information. We may coordinate with your other advisors
or other experts, as we deem appropriate. Once our work is complete we
will contact you to establish a date for our next meeting.
4. Plan Presentation &
Implementation
Our third meeting will be spent reviewing your current situation and a
presentation of our recommendations. If we are in accord we will begin
to implement your plan. This may be accomplished at this meeting or it
might entail additional meetings over a period of time. If we are not
in accord, then we will get back to step 3 and set a date for our next
meeting.
5. Plan Monitoring &
Periodic Reviews
After your plan is fully implemented we begin a process of monitoring
the results and periodically reviewing them with you. Your circumstances,
goals and objectives may change over time. These changes will necessitate
changes to your plan. Periodic reviews are necessary to assure that your
plan is working. We will be there for you when changes need to be made.
